Walls do two jobs in an Arizona backyard, and we build for both. Structurally, a retaining wall holds grade — terracing a sloped lot into usable flat space, keeping a hillside off the patio, and directing monsoon runoff where you want it instead of into the house. Architecturally, a well-built wall defines the edges of a space, creates raised planters, and gives you permanent seating that never blows over or needs storing.
Retaining walls fail when they're built like decorative walls. Soil pressure is relentless, and it multiplies when a monsoon saturates the backfill. We build with proper footings, compacted base, reinforcement and geogrid where the height calls for it, free-draining gravel backfill, and drain pipe behind the wall so hydrostatic pressure has somewhere to go. Anything over the code height threshold gets engineered and permitted — no exceptions and no guessing.

Our own crews handle every phase — grading and drainage, compacted base, pavers, walls, structures, turf, irrigation, and planting — built to hold up to Arizona sun, monsoon runoff, and caliche soil.
Walkthrough & Aftercare
