An outdoor kitchen is the difference between grilling as a chore and cooking outside as something you actually look forward to. AZ Outdoor Concepts builds custom BBQ islands and full outdoor kitchens across the Phoenix metro — sized around how you cook, positioned for shade, and finished to match the house rather than sitting in the yard like an appliance.

Layout comes first. A grill with no landing space on either side means every dish gets carried back inside, so we plan prep space, a landing zone, and storage into every island. A bar overhang puts guests in conversation with whoever is cooking instead of stranding them across the patio. Then we place the whole thing where the cook isn't standing in full afternoon sun over a hot grill.

Materials and appliances are specified for this climate specifically. Granite and porcelain slab countertops handle UV and heat without fading; standard indoor quartz does not and its warranty usually excludes outdoor use. Refrigeration needs to be outdoor-rated to survive a 115-degree enclosure. Gas, water, and electrical are trenched during the build, before the surrounding hardscape goes down.
