Base preparation is where a patio's lifespan is decided. Arizona's caliche and expansive clay soils, plus monsoon runoff, punish shortcuts. We excavate to proper depth, install and compact aggregate base in lifts, screed a bedding layer, lay and cut the field, then compact, sand, and edge-restrain the finished surface. That's why our patios stay flat instead of developing the sunken, wavy look you see all over the Valley.

Material choice comes down to how the surface will be used. Travertine is the coolest underfoot and the right call anywhere people go barefoot. Concrete pavers offer wider color and pattern range and greater load capacity. We'll show you both in your own light, and plan borders, banding, and level changes that make the space read as designed rather than poured.
