Travertine runs dramatically cooler underfoot than poured concrete and far cooler than dark pavers, and it stays comfortable long after sunset. Replacing hot, cracked concrete decking is one of the highest-impact changes you can make to an existing pool — often more noticeable day to day than resurfacing the pool itself. We remove the old surface, excavate to proper depth, install and compact aggregate base, and set the new deck with correct slope away from the water and toward drainage.

Detailing is what separates a deck that looks built-in from one that looks added on. Coping is set to the right height and profile against the pool edge, bullnose and cut pieces are worked around steps and radii, and transitions to turf, patio, or planting are planned so nothing meets at an awkward lip. Deck drains and channel drains go in where the grade calls for them.
